Wonder Artists is for young artists who are ready to learn, create, and grow their skills in a fun and encouraging studio setting.
Each month, artists will explore a new theme while learning how professional artists use the Elements of Art and Principles of Design to create strong, interesting artwork. Through direct instruction, demonstrations, practice, and hands-on projects, artists will learn the why behind the art—not just the how.
Artists will explore concepts like line, shape, color, texture, value, space, balance, pattern, contrast, and more, then use what they learn to make their own creative choices.

🐾🍂 October Session: Autumn on Main Street
Step into a colorful little town where art, architecture, and autumn meet!
Throughout our October session, artists will design and construct their own Autumn on Main Street mixed-media diorama. Inspired by the colors, textures, storefronts, and bustling details of a cozy fall town, students will transform a collection of art techniques into one large, dimensional work of art.
Artists will build upon their artwork throughout the session, watching their Main Street grow layer by layer. They'll create storefronts and architectural details, design an autumn landscape, experiment with patterned and textured papers, and construct dimensional elements like a market stand or cocoa cart.

Please do not book if you do not plan on attending. We can not make up missed classes. 🎨 What Artists Will Explore
This project gives students the opportunity to work with several important art concepts in one cohesive piece. Artists will explore line, shape, color, texture, form, space, pattern, and composition while learning how individual pieces can work together to create a larger visual story.
We'll experiment with drawing, painting, collage, print and texture techniques, paper construction, layering, and mixed media. Students will also think like designers as they make choices about their buildings, signs, windows, trees, storefronts, and all the tiny details that give their Main Street personality.
And because this is a diorama, we're taking our artwork off the flat page! Students will explore foreground, middle ground, and background while learning how layering and three-dimensional construction can create depth and make an artwork feel like a tiny world.
The finished piece will be colorful, detailed, dimensional—and completely unique to each artist.

Wonder Artists is for young artists who are ready to learn, create, and grow their skills in a fun and encouraging studio setting.
Each month, artists will explore a new theme while learning how professional artists use the Elements of Art and Principles of Design to create strong, interesting artwork. Through direct instruction, demonstrations, practice, and hands-on projects, artists will learn the why behind the art—not just the how.
Artists will explore concepts like line, shape, color, texture, value, space, balance, pattern, contrast, and more, then use what they learn to make their own creative choices.
In Wonder Artists, artists will:

🖌️ Explore the Elements of Art & Principles of Design
💡 Learn how artists make creative choices
✨ Take their time developing thoughtful, detailed artwork
🌈 Build confidence and grow their own artistic style
This class is a great fit for artists who are ready to listen, learn, practice, and stay engaged with a project from start to finish.
It’s serious art learning wrapped up in a whole lot of creativity, imagination, and fun!

Can siblings sign up together, even outside of the age group?Siblings may sign up together in the younger sibling’s age group. Please contact us before registering.
Attendance: We want your child to experience the full curriculum- each class builds from the previous and mostly has projects that take multiple classes to complete. Please do not book if you do not plan on attending. We can not make up missed classes. We understand that emergencies and illnesses are out of your control and will make allowances for those circumstances. Refunds or credit will not be issued for missed classes.
When to arrive: Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled time We will start class promptly at the start time.
What to bring and wear: Wear clothes that can get messy!! We may be using things like acrylic paints that can ruin clothing! We do have smocks available. You may bring a water.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Full payment is due at the time of enrollment. Payment includes a 50% cost of class non-refundable deposit. All cancellations made more than 14 days prior to original class start date may receive a refund minus the 50% non-refundable deposit. Cancellations made within 14 days of the original class start date are NON-REFUNDABLE. No shows are NON-REFUNDABLE. If we are able to switch into another date, we can do so with no fees. If you book this using the scholarship pay option and do not show for the class, you will not be able to use the scholarship pay option in the future.
🍂 October Session: Autumn on Main Street
Step into a colorful little town where art, architecture, and autumn meet!
Throughout our October session, artists will design and construct their own Autumn on Main Street mixed-media diorama. Inspired by the colors, textures, storefronts, and bustling details of a cozy fall town, students will transform a collection of art techniques into one large, dimensional work of art.
Artists will build upon their artwork throughout the session, watching their Main Street grow layer by layer. They'll create storefronts and architectural details, design an autumn landscape, experiment with patterned and textured papers, and construct dimensional elements like a market stand or cocoa cart.
Group 2 Artist Session Dates - All Classes are held on Tuesday & Thursday from 9:00-10:30 am

This project brings important art concepts together in one exciting piece! Artists will explore line, shape, color, texture, form, space, pattern, and composition while experimenting with drawing, painting, collage, layering, and mixed media. As they design their own storefronts and details, they’ll learn how foreground, middle ground, and background create depth—turning a flat artwork into their own dimensional Main Street! The finished piece will be colorful, detailed, dimensional—and completely unique to each artist.

This month our Teen Artist Studio will be learning about Art from the Ancient times!
2 Steps- How to Sign-up your child using scholarship funds:
Our Website: Select the class you would like to attend below and add to cart. Use code SCHOLARSHIP at check out. This will ZERO out our balance through our website. If you check out during the time frame of a discount. The final discount will be applied when the funds are processed on the Marketplace. If you do not do this step, the spot for your child is not secure.
Step-Up /EMA Marketplace: Reserve funds on the Step-Up/ EMA Marketplace. Select the 1 day/week or 2 day/week -depending on selected class. If funds are not reserved on Step-Up within 48 hours of check-out, your order will be cancelled and spot will not be saved. Please note that funds will say PENDING until the last day of class, when they are processed.
No Shows: PLEASE do not use scholarship funds to hold a spot if you do not intend on taking that spot or attending the entire session. We are a small business and most likely will not be able to fill that space last minute! If this happens we will not allow you to use the scholarship for payment in the future.

A creative space for curious young artists!
What is the difference between 2 days a week & 1 day a week?
With two days a week we have double the amount of classes. This means we cover a more in depth look at the curriculum, sometimes meaning additional projects! In addition, we are able to cover content at a slightly slower pace.
Can siblings sign up together, even outside of the age group?
Yes! Siblings may sign up together in the younger sibling’s age group. Please note that lessons and projects will be planned for the age group listed. If your older child is ready for more of challenge, please consider signing them up for our older group class.
Meet Mrs. Roebuck
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember—ever since I could hold a crayon, creating has been part of who I am.
For the past 7 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching art to children at a local elementary school. But my love for art goes far beyond the classroom. I believe deeply in the magic of the creative process—the way experimenting with color, texture, and materials opens up imagination, builds confidence, and fosters meaningful connections.
Sunshine Art Studio has been a dream of mine for years—a place where kids and families in our community can come together to explore, play, and create freely. I’m passionate about providing a space where creativity is celebrated, messes are welcome, and the focus is on the experience of making art, not just the finished product.
At home, I’m a mom to two amazing teen boys. My husband, who’s a firefighter, and I have been married for 15 wonderful years. Our family knows firsthand how powerful it is to have a creative outlet, and I’m thrilled to be able to share that with others.
I can’t wait to welcome you into this creative space. Whether you're a young artist, a parent, or someone simply looking to tap into their creativity—we’re excited to meet you and make something amazing together!
