🐾Adopt-a-Pet Adventure🐾
This September, our artists are going on a very special adventure: they’re adopting a pet! 🐶🐱
During our Adopt-a-Pet Adventure Art Club, each artist will choose a stuffed animal to adopt and create everything their new pet needs to feel right at home.
But that’s just the beginning!
Each class level will take the Adopt -a-Pet theme to the next level with fun, creative projects designed to challenge artists as they grow. See each class description to learn what that class will be doing with this theme!
All Art Club Classes will be …
🐾 Adopt a Pet: Pet Carrier and Accessories
Every artist needs a furry friend to create with! This month, artists will adopt their very own stuffed-animal pet and get ready to give them a special welcome home.
First, artists will design and decorate a cozy pet carrier, using paint and fun embellishments to create a one-of-a-kind home for their new pet to travel in.
Then, they’ll create a beaded collar complete with a custom polymer clay charm made especially for their pet.
From choosing their new pet to designing the perfect carrier and creating a special collar, artists will give their new furry friend everything they need to come home in style! 🐾

🎨 Scribble Squad: Ages 5–7
A fun first step into art! Artists will explore basic techniques, experiment with different materials, and build confidence while creating fun, age-appropriate projects.
We’re also adding Art Center time to every class, giving our beginning artists a chance to enjoy some open-ended art play and exploration. They might paint, draw, build, create, or try something completely their own! Art Centers are a purposeful part of how young children learn and develop as artists.
How this 1 hour and half class is structured*:
🕞 First, 20-30 minutes we learn a new art skill, read a book, and receive instruction.
🕞Then, 30 minutes we are working on a directed project, as a group.
🕞Last, 30 minutes we will be doing our choice art center time.

Meet Mrs. Roebuck
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember—ever since I could hold a crayon, creating has been part of who I am.
For the past 7 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching art to children at a local elementary school. But my love for art goes far beyond the classroom. I believe deeply in the magic of the creative process—the way experimenting with color, texture, and materials opens up imagination, builds confidence, and fosters meaningful connections.
Sunshine Art Studio has been a dream of mine for years—a place where kids and families in our community can come together to explore, play, and create freely. I’m passionate about providing a space where creativity is celebrated, messes are welcome, and the focus is on the experience of making art, not just the finished product.
At home, I’m a mom to two amazing teen boys. My husband, who’s a firefighter, and I have been married for 14 wonderful years. Our family knows firsthand how powerful it is to have a creative outlet, and I’m thrilled to be able to share that with others.
I can’t wait to welcome you into this creative space. Whether you're a young artist, a parent, or someone simply looking to tap into their creativity—we’re excited to meet you and make something amazing together!
Love, Mrs. Roebuck
