Projects for this session:
🐾 All Artists: Welcome Home, Pet!
Every adopted pet deserves a warm welcome home!
Artists will build an ultimate pet accessory kit for their stuffed animal, including a cozy carrier and a custom polymer clay collar. They’ll design their pet’s new accessories, choose colors and details, and create a special look that matches their pet’s personality.
It’s the perfect way to bring their new furry friend home in style!
🎨 Wonder Artists: Pop Art Cats
Wonder Artists will take their pet theme into the world of Pop Art with a project inspired by famous artist Andy Warhol
Using a fun squeegee painting technique, artists will create a colorful painted background and then make a whole series of cats. They’ll explore color theory and experiment with different color combinations to give each cat its own personality.
🧶 Wonder Artists — 2 Days a Week: Felt Pet Portraits
Our Wonder Artists who attend two days a week will take their pet art even further with a one-of-a-kind felt pet portrait!
Artists will use layers of colorful felt to create a special pet portrait on a circular embroidery hoop. They’ll add beads, ribbon, and other materials to create texture and details that make their pet unique.
To finish their portrait, artists will create a fun textured pom-pom frame around the hoop.
This project gives artists the chance to explore texture, layering, mixed media, and creative design while creating a special portrait of a pet they love.

Ready to take your art skills a step further?
Wonder Artists is for young artists who are ready to learn, create, and grow their skills in a fun and encouraging studio setting.
Each month, artists will explore a new theme while learning how professional artists use the Elements of Art and Principles of Design to create strong, interesting artwork. Through direct instruction, demonstrations, practice, and hands-on projects, artists will learn the why behind the art—not just the how.
Artists will explore concepts like line, shape, color, texture, value, space, balance, pattern, contrast, and more, then use what they learn to make their own creative choices.
In Wonder Artists, artists will:
