Matisse by the Sea
Let’s go down to the seaside with fun art projects inspired by French artist Henri Matisse! Artists will explore Matisse-inspired techniques like simplified shapes, expressive color choices, and creative cut-paper designs!
This class is held on Thursday, November 12th from 4:00-5:30 pm
Art Show Friday, November 20th 2:30-5:30 pm
🎨 Scribble Squad | Ages 5–7
A fun first step into art! Artists will explore basic techniques, experiment with different materials, and build confidence while creating fun, age-appropriate projects.
We’re also adding Art Center time to every class, giving our beginning artists a chance to enjoy some open-ended art play and exploration. They might paint, draw, build, create, or try something completely their own! Art Centers are a purposeful part of how young children learn and develop as artists.
How this 1 hour and half class is structured*:
🕞 First, 20-30 minutes we learn a new art skill, read a book, and receive instruction.
🕞Then, 30 minutes we are working on a directed project, as a group.
🕞Last, 30 minutes we will be doing our choice art center time.
*Subject to change based on class needs
